vdoc ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a browser extension that enables users to copy math formulas from web pages and paste them into Microsoft Word or PowerPoint as native, editable equations. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

vdoc does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

Specifically, the extension:

• Does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII)
• Does not track your browsing history or activity
• Does not use cookies or any tracking technologies
• Does not send any data to external servers or third parties
• Does not use analytics or telemetry services

How the Extension Works

All of this processing happens locally on your computer. No data leaves your browser at any point.

Permissions Explained

The extension requests the following browser permissions:

• storage: Used solely to save your preference for the formula copy toggle (on/off). This data is stored locally in Chrome's sync storage and is not accessible to us.
• activeTab: Required to interact with the current webpage and detect math formulas when you click the extension icon.
• scripting: Required to inject the content script that detects and processes math formulas on web pages.

Third-Party Services

vdoc does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, APIs, or servers.

Data Retention

Since no data is collected, there is no data to retain or delete. The only locally stored data is your toggle preference (on/off), which is automatically removed when you uninstall the extension.

Children's Privacy

vdoc does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 or any other age group, as it does not collect any information from anyone.
